Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon has been suspended 80 games without pay for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.
The speedy second baseman tested positive for exogenous Testosterone and Clostebol, performance-enhancing substance.
The suspension is effectively immediately.
It was announced after the Marlins 5-3 victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Gordon won the NL Batting title last season.
