Richards Needs Tommy John

Los Angeles Angels right-hander Garret Richards has a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow.
He is expected to need Tommy John surgery. This would end his season in just the second

month.
Richards is 1-3 in his starts this season.
He set career highs in wins, strikeouts, and innings pitched last season with the Angels.

The Angels had previously states Richards would miss his scheduled start Friday because of dehydration and fatigue.

Richards is 40-32 with a 3.58 ERA so far in his 6 season career.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
