Donnovan Hill, 18, was a former Pop Warner football player who had previously been paralyzed has passed away.
His mother has reported he died from complications during surgery. Crystal Dixon also said the surgery was to manage his health. She claims the doctors cut an artery by mistake and he was in a coma after the surgery.
Hill was paralyzed in 2011 during a game where his coaches had previously taught the players a head-first tackling technique. He and his family then filed a lawsuit and won. He was awarded a six figure amount.
The hospital where he was having his surgery hasn’t commented on the details of Hill’s death.
Please keep his family and friends in your prays.
