Tim Lincecum,31, has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Angels, pending a physical.
Lincecum, last pitched in June 2015, spent nine seasons with the San Francisco Giants. They won 3 World Series in five seasons. He went 7-4 over 15 starts posting a 4.13 ERA before joining the disabled list. He is also a two-time Cy Young Award winner(2008 & 2009) .
In September, he had arthroscopic hip surgery. He spent the offseason rehabbing in Arizona. He recently tried out for 20 teams trying to return to MLB.
The Angels have lost several starting pitchers including their ace and have the third worst record in baseball.
