Karl-Anthony Towns has been named NBA Rookie of the Year.
Towns is the number 1 overall pick from the 2015 NBA draft. His rookie season he averaged 18.1 points along with 10.7 rebounds. He has averaged 1.7 blocks in his first year out of Kentucky. While doing so, he brought home rookie of the month in the months it was awarded(6). It is now the best season for a “big man” since Tim Duncan when he was a rookie. He also lead the Wolves to 13 more wins than in the 2014-2015 season. Towns played in all 82 games this season as his team didn’t make the playoffs.
Andrew Wiggins, Towns teammate, won Rookie of the Year last season making it back-to-back year a Timberwolves’ has took home the award.
