Braves Fire Fredi G.

From worst to first before, but not this year. The worst team in baseball, the Atlanta Braves have fired their manager Fredi Gonzalez. At 9-28, this is the worst start in team history.
The Braves haven’t won back-to-back games in a span that they have went 5-19 in. There are 4 MLB players who have hit more homeruns than the Braves have this season.

Fredi worked with the Braves for 4 seasons as the third base coach before he became the Marlins manager in 2007. He then returned to Atlanta in 2011 as the manager after Bobby Cox retired.

Under Gonzalez, they had two wild card berths (2010,2012) and won the NL East in 2013 before losing to the LA Dodgers in the division series of the playoffs.

The Braves also fired bench coach Carlos Tosca. Bullpen coach Eddie Perez now will be the first base coach, Terry Pendleton will be the bench coach and Marty Reed will be the bullpen coach.
Triple-A manager, Brian Snitker will take over as manager. He had previously been a third base coach for the big league team.
