Blatt Heading Back to Euroleague

David Blatt is close to completing a deal to coach the Turkish club Darussafaka. Blatt was fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this season.

The deal is reportedly a multi year contract worth between 1.7 and 2 million per season.

Blatt, 57, lead the Cavs to the NBA finals in 2015, his first year as head coach. They ultimately lost to the Golden State Warriors. Before being fired, he was leading the Cavs to a 30-11 record. He was the first coach in NBA history to be fired with a .732 winning percentage. He ja also the first coach to have been fired while his team had the best record in their conference.

He won multiple championships in his 21 years overseas. In 2014, Blatt led Maccabi Tel Aviv to a Euroleague championship.
