Hunter Pence, 33, will miss eight weeks. He may need surgery to repair his torn right hamstring tendon. He injured it once before in the past two weeks.
They haven’t scheduled the surgery yet even though they have had three doctors look at the injury. They told him he also has a 50-50 chance to return without surgery but if it was to be injured again it would take longer to return.
“The good news is there’s going to be a lot of season left to play when I come back,” Pence said.
While running to first Pence says he felt something pop in his hamstring which lead to him being helped off the field.
Pence leads the team with 36 RBIs and was second with seven home runs.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
