Just when people think temper tantrums are just for kids, think again.
Chicago White Sox’s pitcher, Chris Sale, did not like the jerseys him and his team were set to wear last night, so guess what he did? He cut them up. This resulted in him getting sent home from the clubhouse and missing his start.
The White Sox announced today that Sale will be suspended 5 games for violating team rules as well as insubordination and destroying team equipment.
The issue with the jersey resulted in a confrontation with a front office member.
The jersey Sale and the White Sox were to wear was a collared, navy throwback from 1976.
Sale is 14-3 with a 3.18 ERA this season and his name has came up in trade talk throughout the league. The White Sox are asking for a lot in return for Sale.
His suspension began Saturday and ends on Wednesday. Anthony Ranaudo has been called up to take Sale’s roster spot while suspended.
