After 14 years as the University of Louisville president, James Ramsey has resigned.
This comes after six hours of closed-door meeting. Ramsey will be paid $690,000 and has agreed to not sure the university.
Ramsey has been surrounded by embezzlement scandals, a FBI investigation of top university officials for alleged misuse of federal money and then an NCAA investigation into whether a university employee paid women to strip and have sex with basketball players.
He was the one who decided on the 2015-2016 postseason ban for the men’s basketball team.
The board of trustees are now looking into who will become the next president.
