The Atlanta Braves will be without their league-leading home run hitter. Freddie Freeman will miss at least two months with a fractured left wrist according to Fox Sports. As of now, he will not need surgery.
Freeman was forced out of Wednesday’s contest against the Toronto Blue Jays after he was hit by a pitch from Aaron Loup. The Braves had to challenge the play as the initial call was he was not hit by the pitch.
After his fifth inning exit, the Braves went on to won 8-4. The game also featured both benches clearing after a Jose Bautista bat flip.
Freeman is batting .341 this season and is tied for the major league lead with 14 homers. Also, he has hit a homer against every team the Braves have faced this season.
